Downed Wires Close Major Road, Cause Power Outages In Wilmington, Police Say
Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes as downed wires were reported in Wilmington on Friday afternoon.
WILMINGTON, MA — Route 62 eastbound in Wilmington is closed due to wires down in the road, police said in a Facebook post around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes via Route 125 to Route 28 or Park/Concord Street.
Access to the Beth Israel Lahey Health Muni Family Center at 500 Salem St. will be from the Route 93 side.

Also, police said that North Wilmington residents are experiencing power outages due to the downed wires.
The Reading Municipal Light Department is aware of the issue and is responding.
