Driver Charged With OUI After Crash In Wilmington, Police Say

The arrest was one of 96 motor vehicle stops police made in the past week.

WILMINGTON, MA — A driver was charged after they crashed their car into a rock wall and fire hydrant, according to police.

The driver was charged with operating under the influence and operating with a suspended license, police said.

"Impaired driving is 100% preventable. If you plan on drinking or using any substance that impairs your ability to drive, make arrangements for a safe ride home. Choosing a designated driver, rideshare, or taxi could save your life and the lives of others," police wrote.
