Wrentham, MA — From their time in uniform to their everyday contributions in our neighborhoods, veterans embody service in so many forms. Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to share stories of veterans making a difference in the places we call home.

This story was submitted by Joanne Hensas, who nominated Leonard (Lenny) K. Hensas Jr. of Wrentham, a member of the Army National Guard. To share your own message of gratitude, click here to answer a few questions and we'll take it from there.

Lenny served in the Boston medical unit of the Army National Guard during Vietnam — stateside. He had to leave the Guard to help his family when his son had a medical diagnosis. Lenny serves his community at church (LCOR–Foxboro), serving on volunteer boards (Gilly's House), donating to various charities (local food pantries) and serving the Patriots for 27 years as their devoted X-ray tech.
