2 MI Road Workers Hit, Killed Along Freeway: Sheriff
Investigators believe speed played a role in the crash.
INGHAM COUNTY, MI — Two Michigan road workers were killed in a crash along a Michigan freeway Tuesday, according to sheriff's officials.
The crash happened at 1:18 p.m. Tuesday on northbound US-127 near W. Holt Road in Alaiedon Township, according to officials.
Officials said a 24-year-old Dewitt man lost control of his vehicle and struck the two Michigan Department of Transportation workers.

Both workers, a 49-year-old Mason man and a 51-year-old Mason man, were killed in the crash, officials said.
The Dewitt man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition, officials said.
