MI Man Dies After Kayak Gets Stuck Under Dam In River: Police

Officers found the man dead in the river near a kayak that was stuck under a dam, according to police.

MIDLAND, MI — A 50-year-old man was found dead in the Tittabawassee River in Midland over the weekend, according to police.

Officers were called to an area along the river where a kayak was stuck under a dam on the Dow property at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

That's where officers found the man's body in the water, according to police.

Officers pulled him from the water and pronounced him dead, according to police.

Police said the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine his cause of death.

Police did not release his name or any other details, as the investigation continues.
