Paddleboarder Dies After Falling Into Detroit Area Lake: Reports

The man was paddleboarding on the lake when he fell into the water, according to reports.

GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP, MI — A paddleboarder died after falling into a Livingston County lake on Sunday, according to reports.

The 51-year-old Howell man was paddleboarding on Briggs Lake in Green Oak Township at 1 p.m. when he fell into the water, WDIV reports.

Officials pulled the man from the water and immediately performed life-saving measures, according to the report.

He was then taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
