Clawson Scout Earns Eagle

A Second-Generation Eagle Scout for the Hinman Family

(CLAWSON – MAY 26, 2026) Noah Hinman, 17, of Clawson, MI, recently earned Scouting America’s highest advancement award, the Eagle Scout Award with Bronze Palm. Hinman will be recognized in a ceremony next week.

A member of Clawson’s Troop 1615, chartered with The Church @ Clawson, Hinman is one of only approximately 6 percent of all Scouts who earn the Eagle rank, according to Troop Committee Chair Troy Engel. Each candidate must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges, serve in troop leadership positions, and successfully complete a community-related service project to earn Eagle; Hinman earned 26 merit badges, and planned, built and installed a vine and decoration-covered archway at the Clarkston Family Farm. Hinman is currently a senior at Clawson High School.

Hinman plans to plans to pursue a career in construction. He is the son of Nickolas Hinman of Clawson and Renee Hinman of Clawson. Hinman is a second-generation Eagle Scout in his family, after his father.
