2 Dead After Police Chase, Crash In Macomb County: Cops

The at-fault driver has been arrested in connection with the crash, police said.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Two people are dead after a weekend police chase and crash in Macomb County, according to police.

Officers tried stopping a speeding car on southbound Gratiot Avenue near Quinn Road in Clinton Township at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The driver sped away and crashed into another car at Gratiot Avenue and 14 Mile Road, killing a 25-year-old Southfield man and another person who has not yet been formally identified, police said.

The at-fault driver, a 54-year-old Sterling Heights man, has been arrested in connection with the crash, police said.

Police are still investigating the crash.
