How To Watch Detroit Lions Vs Buffalo Bills Thursday Night

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions head to Buffalo on Thursday night for an early season showdown against the Bills.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. at the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.

Since this is part of the NFL's Thursday Night Football package, the game will be streamed on Amazon's Prime Video streaming service.

But the streaming service does allow the game to be shown on local TV in only the respective markets. So this game will be simulcast on local TV in the Detroit and Buffalo markets only.

Those channels are Fox in Detroit (Channel 2, WJBK-TV) and ABC in Buffalo (Channel 7, WKBW-TV).

The Lions survived a week 1 scare after blowing a 21-0 lead against the New Orleans Saints. The Lions held on for a 31-30 overtime win after the Saints failed to convert a game-winning 2-point try in overtime.

The Bills, however, shredded a tough Houston Texans defense for a 36-31 road win. Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns.

Thursday night's game will be the first regular-season matchup at the Bills new Highmark Stadium.

"It'll be electric, you know. It's going to be a great atmosphere. We'll be looking forward to that," Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell said Monday. "Excellent opponent. This (is) a big time game here early in the year."

The last time the Bills and Lions played was week 15 in 2024 when the Bills edged the Lions 48-42 at Ford Field in Detroit.
