Severe Thunderstorms Possible Across Detroit Area Monday
Stronger storms are possible Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across southeastern Michigan on Monday night and again on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs on Monday will reach the upper 60s before the scattered storms move into the region during the nighttime hours, especially after midnight, the weather service said.
Forecasters warned the storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours, large hail up to 1 inch in diameter and 60 mile-per-hour wind gusts.

More widespread storms will move into the region Tuesday afternoon when highs surge into the 70s, the weather service said.
The storms could pop up as early as 2 p.m., but the forecasters said the main window will be sometime between 4 p.m. and midnight.

Forecasters warned those storms will be stronger and could even produce an isolated tornado in the region.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed the region under a Slight Risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather on Tuesday.
Temperatures will plunge into the 40s after the storms move through the area. Highs will stay below 50 degrees on Wednesday, before another spring warmup, the weather service said.
Highs will move back into the 60s on Thursday and through the weekend. There will also be chances for rain each day, the weather service said.
