Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Amtrak Train In West MI: Report
Investigators believe the man was trying to cross the tracks when he was fatally struck by the train.
KALAMAZOO, MI — A bicyclist was hit and killed by an Amtrak train earlier this week in west Michigan, according to reports.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday at the railroad track crossing at Oliver Street and Stadium Drive near Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Fox 17 reports.
Investigators believe the man was trying to cross the tracks when he was fatally struck by the train, according to the report.

There were no injuries to the roughly 264 passengers and crew members on the train, according to the report.
Police asked anyone with information to call the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at (269) 337-8120. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Silent Observer at (269) 343-2100.
