Northville Sports Den Teams Up with Guinness, Raising $5,000 for Northville Fire Department
Northville Sports Den was recently presented with a firefighter helmet because they raised $5000 with Guinness for the Northville Fire Department.
Guinness presented Northville Sports Den with a firefighter’s helmet on Thursday evening, after Northville Sports Den raised over $2,500 for the Northville Fire Department, a sum that Guinness matched.
Molly Eley, Northville Sports Den’s event coordinator, said, “The Den was asked by the beer representative, Scott Roberts, to sell paper firefighter helmets to our customers to help raise money for our local fire department. Guinness matched the money we raised, resulting in a $5,000 donation to the Northville Fire Department.”
These paper Guinness firefighter helmets were passed out to Den customers with their bills from Feb. 15 until St. Patrick’s Day, giving customers the chance to donate if they wanted to do so.

“As far as what the fire department will do with the money, the last we heard was that they were putting the money towards fixing the bucket at the end of the ladder on the fire truck,” Eley said.
Many people attended this fire helmet presentation at the Den, including the Northville fire chief, a few firefighters, Northville Sports Den staff, the Guinness marketing team, and promotional Guinness girls, who gave everyone in the bar Black Lager to sample.

“Guinness works with us for promotional events. This was a great one to be apart of because it allowed us to give back to the honorable men and women of the fire department,” said Eley.
Northville Sports Den will keep the helmet on display in the restaurant.
“The helmet will be in honor of our fire department and all that they do for us. The Northville Sports Den has a lot of respect for everything they do,” Eley said.
