Oakland County Shooting Sends Schools Into Partial Lockdown: Reports

NOVI, MI — A man was shot and injured Wednesday morning at a Novi apartment complex, according to reports.

The shooting happened at the Central Park Estates, located in the area of Beck Road and Grand River Avenue in Novi, according to police.

The 38-year-old Detroit man was taken to a nearby hopsital under his own power, reports said. His condition was unclear.

Police are still looking for the shooter. They believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

Multiple schools in the area went into a partial lockdown, meaning no outside visitors will be allowed in school buildings as kids continue their normal day.
