Sheetz Set To Open New Oakland County Location

ORION TOWNSHIP, MI — Sheetz, a popular mid-Atlantic gas station and convenience store chain, is adding a new metro Detroit location.

This new location will open at 4060 S. Lapeer Road in Orion Township next Tuesday.

The public is invited and people will have a chance to pick up the plushies known as "Sheetz Freaks" or win one of two $250 gift cards and one $2,500 gift card. The celebration runs from 9 to 11 a.m.

The new Orion Township spot will be the second in Oakland County (Novi) and the eleventh store across the Detroit area.

Sheetz is planning to open nearly a dozen other stores across the region in 2026. Overall, they see between 50 and 60 stores opening in Michigan over the next 5-6 years.

The chain is best known for its award-winning Made-to-Order menu, which allows residents, or "Sheetz Freakz" to order any of Sheetz’s customized drinks or food items around the clock.

Sheetz operates 800+ store locations across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland, with all locations open 24/7, 365 days a year.
