Police have released new details in a deadly Livonia stabbing that happened last week.

LIVONIA, MI — Police have released new details in a deadly Livonia stabbing that happened last week.

Nicholos Hatcher, 34, of Detroit, was stabbed to death at 4:32 p.m. last Thursday in the area of Middlebelt Road and Orangelawn Street, according to police.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing, but police have not released any other details, including the suspects names.

Investigators determined Hatcher and the two suspects were at the BioLife Plasma Services center on Plymouth Road in Livonia. They said one of the suspects stole the Hatcher's backpack while at the location.

Hatcher followed the suspects to a nearby location and confronted them, leading to a fight, according to police.

During the fight, one of the suspects stabbed Hatcher in the upper chest, according to police.

The suspects ran away from the scene to a neighboring city, which police did not specify.

Police are still investigating the stabbing and plan to turn over their findings to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
