28th ANNUAL “WOMEN HELPING WOMEN” LUNCHEON & FASHION SHOW ON MAY 9 BENEFITS WOMEN AND FAMILIES IN NEED

Mother's Day weekend event features fashion, raffles and inspiring stories supporting nonprofit Grace Centers of Hope's Women's Program

PONTIAC, Mich. — Grace Centers of Hope (GCH) will present the 28th Annual “Women Helping Women” Luncheon & Fashion Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Royal Park Hotel, 600 E. University Dr. in Rochester. This annual signature event will feature a silent auction, raffles, luncheon and a fashion show highlighting spring trends, with all proceeds benefiting GCH’s Women’s Program.

The event serves as a meaningful Mother’s Day weekend outing while supporting women and families working to overcome homelessness, addiction, abuse, and other life challenges.

Returning as host is Tara Tomcsik-Husak, President and CEO of the Troy Chamber of Commerce, who has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and community engagement.

“The Women Helping Women Luncheon and Fashion Show is a powerful reminder of what can happen when compassion meets action,” said Darin Weiss, CEO of Grace Centers of Hope and Senior Pastor at Grace Gospel Fellowship. “Each year, this event celebrates the courage of the women we serve while providing critical support to help them rebuild their lives. We are incredibly grateful to our community for standing with us and making transformation possible.”

The event will begin at 10 a.m. with a silent auction and raffles, followed by a luncheon and the highly anticipated fashion show, hosted again this year by Cheryl Hall Lindsay of RGA Model Management.

The runway will feature professional models alongside women currently participating in GCH’s One-Year Life Skills Program, showcasing spring fashions from renowned retailers and designers including:

·Lilly Pulitzer: Creator of American sports resort wear, who for more than 60 years has created authentic printed styles

·Saks Fifth Avenue: World-renowned luxury department store

Guests at the Fashion Show will enjoy an inspiring afternoon celebrating resilience, transformation and community, while experiencing fashion, shopping opportunities, and meaningful storytelling.
