Popular Convenience Store Chain Opens 2 More Metro Detroit Locations

The chain is best known for its award-winning made-to-order menu.

Popular mid-Atlantic gas station and convenience store chain Sheetz opened two more metro Detroit locations last Friday.

The new locations opened along Utica Road in Fraser and Eukera Road in Taylor.

Officials said more than 350 people attended the Fraser store opening and another 250 in Taylor.

"Celebrating two grand openings in one day and seeing the turnout from both communities made this an incredibly special moment for our team," Sheetz Public Affairs Manager NickcRuffner said. "We’re grateful for the warm welcome in both Fraser and Taylor and are excited to begin serving these communities while building lasting relationships."

Sheetz now has 10 stores open in Michigan and plans to open at least a dozen more in 2026. Overall, they are planning to open between 50 and 60 stores in Michigan over the next 5-6 years.

The chain is best known for its award-winning Made-to-Order menu, which allows residents, or "Sheetz Freakz" to order any of Sheetz’s customized drinks or food items around the clock.

Sheetz operates 800+ store locations across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland, with all locations open 24/7, 365 days a year.
