Motorcyclist Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Macomb County: Reports

The motorcyclist collided with an SUV that was exiting a private driveway along a major road in metro Detroit, reports said.

STERLING HEIGHTS, MI — A motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle crash Monday in Macomb County, according to reports.

The crash happened at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday on 18 Mile Road, east of Mound Road in Sterling Heights, WDIV reported.

The 35-year-old Sterling Heights man was riding a yellow Suzuki motorcycle east on 18 Mile Road when it collided with a black Dodge Durango that was exiting a private driveway, according to the report.

The man was thrown from the motorcycle, which was pushed into the westbound lanes on the road where it hit a silver Dodge Nitro, according to the report.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, according to police.

Police did not report any other injuries.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol played a role in the crash, which they are still investigating.
