Tow Truck Driver Killed In Crash With Semi Truck In Macomb County: Police
Police said the tow truck driver drove through a red light at an intersection and slammed into the semi truck.
STERLING HEIGHTS, MI — A tow driver was killed in a crash with a semi truck in Macomb County on Tuesday morning, according to police.
The crash happened at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Mound Road and Dobry Drive in Sterling Heights, according to police.
Police said the tow truck driver drove through a red light at the intersection and slammed into the semi truck, which was passing through the intersection on a green light.

The tow truck driver, a 29-year-old Detroit man, was ejected from the truck and killed in the crash, according to police.
The semi truck driver refused medical treatment at the scene, according to police.

Investigators do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
