1 Dead In Troy Residential Fire: Officials

TROY, MI — One person was killed in a Thursday morning fire in Troy, according to fire officials.

The fire happened at 7:58 a.m. Thursday at a home in the Troy Villa, located along the Stephenson Highway in Troy, according to fire officials.

Firefighters arrived and found flames and smoke coming from the partially collapsed home, according to fire officials.

After extinguishing most of the blaze, firefighters entered the home and found one person dead, according to fire officials.

Officials did not release any other details about the victim.

No one else, including firefighters, was hurt in the fire, according to officials.

Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
