Man Hit, Killed By Car On I-75 In Oakland County: Police
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
TROY, MI — A 36-year-old man was hit and killed by a car on Interstate 75 in Oakland County on Wednesday night, according to police.
The crash happened at 11:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes on the freeway near Wattles Road in Troy, according to police.
The driver of a black Audi sedan called police and told them they struck an unknown object on the freeway, according to police.

Officers arrived and determined the Audi had struck the man. He was also hit by additional vehicles, according to police.
Police said the man was killed in the crash.

The driver and passenger of the Audi were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Shortly before the crash, an out-of-state couple arrived at the Troy Police Department lobby and told police that their 36-year-old son was experiencing emotional distress. He exited their vehicle and ran away from the area of the Civic Center complex.
Police then received a 911 call from a concerned citizen who reported someone walking along the shoulder of northbound Interstate 75 near Big Beaver Road.
Police determined the individual was the same 36-year-old man previously reported by his parents.
