14-Year-Old With Gunshot Wound Prompted Lockdown At Maplewood Hospital

The St. Paul Police Department said a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the leg arrived at M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital.

A hospital in the east metro was briefly placed on lockdown Wednesday night when a teenager showed up with a gunshot wound.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the leg arrived at M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital around 8:40 p.m. He is expected to be OK.

Police initially told WCCO a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting, but later said the gunshot wound was self-inflicted and no arrests had been made.
