Buick, Chevy Suburban Collide In Fatal Crash On Highway 32 In Central MN

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 32 in Pennington County was fatal, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

The crash happened at 5:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, on Highway 32 south of 183rd Street Northeast in North Township, according to the State Patrol's incident report.

A northbound Buick Envision collided with a southbound Chevy Suburban near 183rd Street Northeast, the report states. The road was dry at the time.

The Buick, a 2022 model, was driven by a 31-year-old woman from Red Lake Falls. The Suburban, a 2016 model, was driven by a 68-year-old woman from Newfolden.

The report does not say who died or whether anyone else was hurt. It lists airbag deployment as unknown for both vehicles. The State Patrol said more information on each driver would be released Monday, at noon for the Buick driver and at 5 p.m. for the Suburban driver.

The Pennington County Sheriff's Office, Thief River Falls Police Department, Thief River Falls Fire Department and Sanford Ambulance also responded.
