About Us
Hello! My name is Paul Haga and I'm running for Champlin's Ward 3 City Council seat that is up for special election on May 12th, 2026.
As a nearly 14-year resident of Champlin’s Ward 3, I’m committed to keeping our community safe, strong, and welcoming. A few months after getting married in 2012, my wife and I chose Champlin as the place to buy our first home. In the years since, we’ve welcomed two wonderful daughters into our family. We love Champlin and want to continue making it a great place to live and work.
I believe local government works best when it listens to residents and focuses on practical solutions to the issues our neighbors face every day.
My goal as Ward 3 councilmember is to prioritize maintaining and improving our infrastructure—from roads and bridges to the beauty of our parks and trails—support local businesses, protect taxpayer dollars, and carefully evaluate new development and emerging technologies for their impact on privacy, utilities, and community quality of life.
As a candidate for Ward 3, I’m committed to working together with residents, city staff, and community partners to ensure Champlin remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
