MINNEAPOLIS — KRE PRIME, a Minneapolis-based adaptive apparel innovation company, is bringing practical engineering to one of fashion’s most versatile—but often inconvenient—staples: the jumpsuit.

KRE PRIME creates premium adaptive apparel that brings style, accessibility, and real-life functionality together. Its patent-pending Convertible Jumpsuit System addresses a familiar challenge: using the restroom without awkwardly removing the entire garment.

The flagship Dual-Look Set includes one tapered pant foundation and two interchangeable tops—the Keyhole and the Bardot. The pieces may be worn separately or connected through KRE PRIME’s discreet front horizontal hip-to-hip closure system, creating polished looks that transition from work and travel to evening plans.

Founder Kate Barikor Grady developed the concept from personal experience. Although she appreciated the clean, minimalist look of jumpsuits, she found traditional designs inconvenient for everyday life.

“I wanted something that felt effortless but also worked with the way people actually live,” Grady said. “It needed to be beautiful, but also practical.”

The closure system allows the pants component to separate while the top remains worn and styled, supporting faster, more discreet restroom access. This design may also provide greater flexibility and comfort for customers with diverse mobility and accessibility needs. A smooth, hardware-free rear panel is designed to support seated comfort while preserving a refined silhouette.

KRE PRIME is a digital-first brand with local roots. Grady founded the company in loving memory of her late sister, Tonubari Barikor, and built its mission around mobility, confidence, accessibility, function, and legacy.
