These Twin Cities Suburbs Have The Fastest-Growing Home Prices In 2026

TWIN CITIES, MN — A handful of lakeside and outer-ring suburbs in the Twin Cities metro area are seeing some of the fastest growth in the state.

According to Zillow's Home Value Index, which tracks smoothed, seasonally adjusted home values across the country each month, the typical home value in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area rose modestly between July 2025 and July 2026.

That overall number hides wide swings from community to community, though.

Here are the nine Twin Cities communities with the biggest home value increases over the past year, based on Zillow's most recent data.

1. Minnetonka Beach, Hennepin County: $2,054,143 to $2,351,689, up 14.5%

2. Greenwood, Hennepin County: $1,561,320 to $1,705,598, up 9.2%

3. Tonka Bay, Hennepin County: $1,042,183 to $1,131,361, up 8.6%

4. Woodland, Hennepin County: $1,592,210 to $1,697,037, up 6.6%

5. Spring Park, Hennepin County: $559,062 to $594,377, up 6.3%

6. Orono, Hennepin County: $1,090,683 to $1,159,285, up 6.3%

7. Marine on Saint Croix, Washington County: $604,271 to $638,177, up 5.6%

8. Wayzata, Hennepin County: $891,668 to $940,771, up 5.5%

9. Randolph, Dakota County: $453,761 to $478,483, up 5.4%

All six of the top six communities on the list border Lake Minnetonka, where already-high home values are climbing even further. Minnetonka Beach's typical home value rose by nearly $300,000 in a single year, the largest dollar increase of any Twin Cities community.

By contrast, the metro's largest cities barely moved.

Minneapolis and Saint Paul each saw values rise less than 1% over the same period, while suburbs like Eagan, Woodbury, Apple Valley and Shakopee posted gains under 2%.

Zillow's Home Value Index reflects the typical home value for the middle third of a market rather than a strict median. This ranking is limited to the 13 Minnesota counties in the current, federally defined Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington metropolitan statistical area.
