St. Paul Police Respond To Downtown Shooting Near RiverCentre, Grand Casino Arena

Police said two young adult men suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and three possible suspects were detained.

ST. PAUL, MN — St. Paul police are investigating a downtown shooting Monday evening that left two people with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and led to three possible suspects being taken into custody nearby.

According to a Monday, May 4, 2026, news release from the Saint Paul Police Department Office of Public Information, officers responded at about 5:30 p.m. to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at the RiverCentre parking ramp. When officers arrived, they reported hearing active gunfire in multiple areas.

Police said officers secured three different scenes in the downtown area: outside Grand Casino Arena, the RiverCentre parking ramp and outside the Ordway. The release did not say how many shots were fired or describe the circumstances that led up to the gunfire.
