St. Paul Police Shoot Suspect Outside Regions Hospital After Domestic Assault Call
Officers located an armed suspect who had fled a domestic assault scene. The BCA is now investigating.

ST. PAUL, MN — St. Paul Police officers shot a suspect Monday morning outside Regions Hospital following a domestic assault call, according to the Saint Paul Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of domestic assault on the 400 block of Temperance Street at approximately 9:15 a.m. The caller told officers the suspect had fled the scene and was armed.
Officers located the suspect on the 200 block of East 12th Street, outside Regions Hospital. The encounter resulted in a shooting involving Saint Paul Police shortly before 9:30 a.m.

Officers immediately rendered aid to the suspect, who is currently being treated at Regions Hospital. No officers were injured.
Police said there is no threat to public safety.

The department has requested the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to investigate the shooting.
