1. One person injured in Springfield rollover crash (ozarksfirst.com) — A rollover crash on National Avenue near East Stanford in Springfield left one woman hospitalized with apparently minor injuries and temporarily closed two northbound lanes Friday morning. Police say two vehicles collided after one turned from Stanford Street, and a nearby resident pulled the trapped driver from her truck before first responders arrived. Traffic was disrupted while crews removed the vehicles.
   

2. Developer behind Springfield data center plan sues city (news-leader.com) — A developer is suing the City of Springfield over its 120-day moratorium on data centers, arguing the pause was passed improperly and is blocking review of a planned high-performance facility on South National Avenue. The lawsuit claims the ordinance violates state law and the City Charter, and says the moratorium has stalled utility applications and pre-development work. Residents can weigh in at a public engagement session Sept. 22 at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E-Plex.
   

3. More than 50 Springfield leaders take part in 'principal for a day' (ky3.com) — Springfield business and civic leaders spent a morning shadowing principals across Springfield Public Schools, getting a firsthand look at how campuses handle safety, staffing, and career-focused programs. Organizers say the "principal for a day" event builds support for pathways that prepare local students for high-demand jobs, and they plan to invite more community members back into schools later this year.
   

4. Family Connects program supports new parents in Greene County (ky3.com) — New and expecting parents in Springfield and across Greene County can receive free in-home nurse visits through the City of Springfield's Family Connects program, which partners with Cox and Mercy hospitals. Nurses check on babies' health, mothers' recovery, and offer guidance on sleep, feeding, and postpartum support, with services also available to adoptive, foster, and bereaved families.
   

5. Ozark Greenways finally expected to receive over $24 million grant for trail improvements (ky3.com) — Springfield's trail system is poised for a major boost as Ozark Greenways moves closer to securing a long-delayed $24.8 million federal RAISE grant, now cleared by the Federal Highway Administration. Springfield City Council will consider the agreement Monday, potentially unlocking funds to connect 3.14 miles of trails and street improvements on the city's west side under the "Ungap the Map" plan.
