Omaha Native Jhone Lucas Returns to Host Season Two of 'The Gen Zone'
Award-winning docuseries makes current events, politics, and elections relatable for Generation Z and millennial audiences.

Omaha native Jhone Lucas is returning to the national spotlight as production prepares to begin on season two of the award-winning docuseries The Gen Zone, an interactive weekly news show aimed at engaging younger audiences with politics and current events.
Created by producer Damien Douglas and hosted by Lucas, the series offers a youth-driven take on national and international issues, blending political analysis with elements of viral content and meme culture. The approach is designed to make complex topics more accessible to Generation Z and millennial viewers. Lucas also serves as a producer and writer on the series.
“For me, this work is personal,” Lucas said. “Politics affects every aspect of our daily lives and sets the stage for ethics and morality in our society. As a generation, we can no longer afford not to be informed about political issues in our country.”

The upcoming eight-episode season, titled The United States of Amnesia, will explore the cultural, political, and social forces shaping the nation. The new installment will examine the impact of media cycles, misinformation, and gaps in institutional memory on public discourse. Production is scheduled to begin in June, with a premiere planned for after this year’s midterm elections.
