3 Sent To The Hospital After Head-On Crash On Interstate 293 In Hooksett

HOOKSETT, NH — Three people were injured and taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle head-on crash on Tuesday morning.

Around 5:45 a.m., New Hampshire State Police troopers were requested to the area of Mile Marker 11 in Hooksett for a crash report. When they arrived, they found a 2020 Subaru Legacy had collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck. State police said a preliminary investigation determined the Subaru, being driven by Timothy Hubbard, 43, of Rome, Maine, was driving in the southbound lane, “when, for reasons that remain under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median into the northbound lanes.”

Hubbard and a passenger in the Subaru, as well as the pickup truck driver, were all taken to the hospital. They had serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

The northbound lanes of the highway, as well as the left southbound lane, were closed to traffic for about an hour during the cleanup and investigation of the crash.

Speed is believed to be a factor, state police said.

Hooksett and Concord fire and rescue teams assisted state police.
