City Of Concord Announces Winter Storm Parking Ban for Friday Night, Saturday Morning
No on-street parking will be permitted in Concord from 11:59 p.m. on Friday night into Saturday morning so snow plows can clear streets.
CONCORD, NH — The city of Concord has issued a citywide Winter Storm Event Parking Ban for Friday, February 20, 2026.
The ban prohibits on-street parking on all streets from 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, until 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. This measure is implemented to ensure city snowplows can effectively clear roadways, officials said.
City officials said cars left on the street can hinder snow removal operations. Vehicles may block plows, particularly on narrow streets, making it difficult for crews to clear snow efficiently. Violators of this parking ban risk receiving a ticket and having their vehicles towed by the Concord Police Department.

To assist residents during the ban, free parking is available in several City garages. Permit and lease spaces, which are marked with signage, will be free from 7 p.m. Friday through 8 a.m. Monday. Metered spaces in these garages will be free from 7 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Monday. The public parking garages include the School Street Garage, State Street Garage, and Storrs Street Garage.
Residents in Penacook have additional overnight parking options. They may park their vehicles at the Canal Street Municipal Parking Lot and the Tanner Street Municipal Parking Lot. These designated lots provide alternatives for Penacook residents during the parking ban period.
