Concord High School’s Crimson Tide Wrestling Team Nets The Blackbirds In Keene, 45-26

Concord High School's varsity wrestlers are now 17-0 on the season. The JV squad also won 9 of 14 matches at Wednesday's away meet.

CONCORD, NH — Concord High School’s wrestlers traveled to Keene and snatched a victory from the competitive Blackbirds on Wednesday, 45-26.

Concord had a solid lead for most of the night against their southwestern New Hampshire rivals, who always come to the mat aggressive and diligent.

Maximus Chung of Concord started the meet in the 175-pound category with a 4-1 win. Brennen Burkholder of Keene then won by pin in the 190. In the 215, Isaiah Puckett of Concord then pinned his opponent. Wayne Gutierrez Sakakeeny in the 285 and Dawsen Nedeau in the 106 won by forfeit for Concord. In the 113, Tristin Woodbury won in a very close match, 4-3. Carter Buxton, in the 120, then won by forfeit for Concord. Dominic Schinella of Concord, in the 126, won by pin, as did Owen Gregg of Concord in the 132. Ian Spencer of Keene also won by pin in the 138. Jaxon Carter of Concord, in the 144, then pinned his opponent. Keene then won the next three bouts: Kaleb Miner in the 150, by 11-7 decision, Jacob Hamm in the 157, by major decision, 16-3, and Jack Gillard in the 165, by pin.
