Former Babysitter Indicted On 25 Child Sexual Assault, Abuse Images Charges: Merrimack County Court Roundup

Franklin man indicted on child rape charges from the 1990s; Goffstown man indicted on aggravated DUI after striking woman; drug indictments.

CONCORD, NH — A grand jury in Merrimack County recently indicted the individuals listed below.

Jessica Caldon, 37, of Washington Street in Laconia, on possession of fentanyl and possession of methamphetamine charges, both felonies, in Hooksett on July 23, 2025.

Melvin J. Campbell, 25, a homeless man now located in Concord, on a felony count of possession of a controlled drug-5F-ADB (synthetic cannabinoid)-subsequent offense on Aug. 28, 2024, in Concord. Previously, according to the indictment, he was convicted of acts prohibited in Hills South in June 2020.

William A. Cann, 68, of Oak Street in Franklin, on four felony counts of pattern-aggravated felonious sexual assault. He was accused of raping a girl and having her fondle him between Jan. 1, 1994, and Nov. 1, 1997, in Franklin.

Demarcus T. Carter, 34, a transient now located in Franklin, on a felony count controlled drug act; acts prohibited-meth on Jan. 27, 2025, in Franklin, and a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-crack cocaine charge on June 8, 2025, in Franklin.

Megan R. Champagne, 39, of Juniper Street in Manchester, on two felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited charges, fentanyl and crack cocaine, on Dec. 16, 2024, in Hooksett. Previously, according to the indictment, she was convicted on a possession charge in Hillsborough County in 2021.

Timothy Chaput, 53, of North Mast Street in Goffstown, on a felony aggravated driving under the influence charge. He was accused of driving drunk and striking a woman on Manchester Street in Concord on Sept. 6, 2025. Alexander Colbath, 25, of Upland Street in Manchester, on two aggravated felonious sexual assault, six felonious sexual assault, and 17 manufacture of child sexual abuse images charges, all felonies. He was accused of touching a girl for sexual gratification and recording and taking pictures of the girl between May 1 and Sept. 6, 2025, in Concord. Jordan Couture, 39, a homeless man now located in Concord, on a felony possession of buprenorphine charge on March 25, 205, in Concord.

Ethan R. Defosses, 19, of Kenwood Avenue in Franklin, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-psilocin charge on Oct. 25, 2025, in Franklin.

Clay Dow, 39, of North Barnstead Road in Center Barnstead, on theft by misapplication and deceptive forestry business practices charges, both felonies. He was accused of failing to make payment from the sale of timber ($7,888.85) to a couple in Canterbury on Aug. 19, 2022.
