New Hampshire State Police Investigate Multi-Vehicle Collision On Interstate 393: Video

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 393 in Concord.

Around 8:30 a.m., a state trooper on the highway radioed dispatch requesting EMTs and firefighters after coming upon the crash. Dispatch then requested firefighters. The trooper offered an update about two minutes later, stating there were people pinned and unconscious inside the vehicles.

Concord Fire Alarm sent more first responders to the scene after receiving the update.

When firefighters arrived, they shut down the highway. “Until we can figure out anything further,” the battalion commander said.

Just before 8:45 a.m., firefighters requested a third ambulance. A few minutes later, they requested a Status 1 trauma alert at Concord Hospital. An elderly man in his 70s reportedly sustained head injuries. A woman and an infant were also taken to the hospital. Other people were examined by EMTs.

After crews packed up and transported the patients, firefighters reopened the highway’s high-speed lane to traffic just before 9 a.m.

Concord firefighters cleared the scene at 9:30 a.m.
