Manchester Community College Student Receives Skilled Trades Scholarship

MANCHESTER, NH — A Manchester Community College student recently received a $500 scholarship for his participation in a skilled trades program.
Luke Wiggin, a student in the college’s Carpentry Advanced Skills Workforce Development Center program, was awarded the scholarship by Mike Manni on Feb. 27. Manni is the owner of The Brothers That Just Do Gutters-New Hampshire/Manchester.
The scholarship was presented as a surprise to Wiggin, recognizing his performance and dedication within the program. Manni said supporting workforce development and encouraging the next generation of trades professionals is an important part of his company’s commitment to the local community.

The Carpentry Advanced Skills Workforce Development Center program at Manchester Community College provides hands-on training. This training helps students develop practical skills needed for careers in construction and home services.
