Tyngsborough Mass. Police Search For Man Wanted In Nashua Arson Investigation

NASHUA, NH — Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an arson investigation in Nashua and warned residents not to approach him if they see him.

Tyngsborough Police Chief Shaun Woods said the department was actively searching for Derrick Couture, 39, who is believed to have traveled to the Bay State town following an arson incident in Nashua Monday afternoon.

Police said Couture may pose a danger to himself or others.

The public is urged not to approach Couture and to call 911 immediately if they see him. Police also asked anyone who believes they have seen Couture, or who has information about his whereabouts, to call 911.

Tyngsborough police, Nashua police, and the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT Team are searching for the suspect.

Residents may notice a larger police presence in town as the search continues.

The announcement did not say exactly where in Tyngsborough Couture was believed to be, or when he may have entered town.

Tyngsborough police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.

For now, residents who see Couture or have information about where he may be are being asked to call 911.

Jeffrey Hastings of InfoNH is reporting there is also an active police presence at the south end of the Pheasant Lane Mall, which is adjacent to the area where he may be located in Tyngsboro
