Greater Seacoast Community Health Names Zielinski Director Of Development

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Greater Seacoast Community Health has named Cara Zielinski as its new director of development, the organization announced.

Zielinski will oversee donor relations, fundraising, and development initiatives for the Somersworth-based network of community health centers. Her responsibilities include developing long-term fundraising strategies and managing the organization’s development team.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to inspire and lead this great organization as we strive to build upon the benevolence shown by so many caring community partners,” Zielinski said. “Our future will include building upon the current base of longstanding donors who know and understand the importance of our mission, serving the healthcare needs of the community, and adding new relationships to enhance and expand our capabilities.”

Zielinski has more than eight years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, and communications. Most recently, she served as director of development at North Shore Community Action Programs for five years. Her previous roles include senior development manager with the American Cancer Society and marketing and communications manager at Hope on Haven Hill.

She holds a master’s degree in education from the University of New Hampshire and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications from Plymouth State University.

“Cara’s expertise, passion for community impact, and strategic approach to development will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our services,” Jocelyn Caple, chief executive officer of Greater Seacoast Community Health, said. “Her leadership will play a critical role in ensuring the sustainability of our mission and expanding access to care throughout the Seacoast.”

Greater Seacoast Community Health operates community health centers providing primary care, pediatric, dental, prenatal, and behavioral health services, as well as substance use disorder treatment and other programs. Services are available to patients of all ages and income levels.
