Londonderry, Merrimack, Portsmouth, Souhegan, And Salem Win At Weekend Wrestling Quads: NH Roundup

Wrestlers from Bishop Guertin, Manchester, Nashua, and Windham also battled in bouts across New Hampshire on Saturday.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Wrestlers from Bishop Guertin, Campbell, Dover, Manchester West, and Oyster River all competed in Portsmouth on Saturday at a quad.

Portsmouth beat Manchester West, 52-30, and BG, 51-28, but lost to Campbell, 48-35.

In the bouts against BG, the Clippers had seven wins by forfeit. Austin Steinruck for BG in the 132 won by fall. AJ Craig of Portsmouth won by a 13-6 decision. Dominic Stamp in the 150 for BG won by pin, as did Peter Cerrato for BG in the 157. In the 175, Stephen Whisler of Portsmouth won by pin. And two BG wrestlers won by tech fall: Bishop Kearns in the 285, 23-8, and Wesley Steinruck in the 106, 16-1.

Against West, in the 165, Manu Poupon won by pin for Portsmouth, as did Whisler. Zack LaValley in the 190 won by tech fall, 19-3, for Portsmouth. Jayden Nartey of West won by pin at 215. In the 106, Angel Diaz won by pin, as did Carter Kuhn of Portsmouth in the 126. Samuel Cruz of West won by fall in the 132, as did Colin Taylor in the 150. In the 138, Craig won by tech fall, 19-4, while Louis Lavoie of Portsmouth won by fall in the 157. Portsmouth also won three bouts by forfeit, while West won one.

In the loss against Campbell, Kuhn in the 126 won by decision, 4-1, Justin Maynard in the 132 won 16-14, and Craig won by tech fall in the 138, 18-3. Mikey Shortill of Portsmouth won by pin in 150, as did Whisler in the 175, and, in an extra match, Caelan French. Both Campbell and Portsmouth won two bouts by forfeit.

The Lancers hosted Hollis Brookline, Nashua North and South, Pinkerton Academy, and Windham wrestlers at a quad on Saturday.

Londonderry beat HB, 45-35, North, 60-24, and South, 60-23.

In the Lancers vs. Purple Panthers bouts, Sebastian Ochoa of North won by pin in the 126, as did Gabriel Perez for Londonderry in the 132, and Caleb Smith of North in the 144. Colin Egan in the 144 for Londonderry won by fall, as did Sawyer Chafee of Londonderry in the 165 and Moqsid Rahmani of Londonderry in the 175. In the 190, Jorge Ribota of Londonderry won by fall, as did Jayden Mahlatini in the 285 and Anthony Cipolletta in the 106. Both teams also had two forfeits each.

In the Titans vs. Londonderry bouts, Ribert Signo for South won in the 126 by tech fall, 16-0, Perez won in the 132 by pin, and Egan won by fall in the 144. Cipolletta in the 106 won by pin as did Lennox DeLeon in the 113 and Cam Rousell in the 120. The Lancers also had five forfeits while South had three.

In the HB matches, Rossell of Londonderry won by major decision, 13-5, at 120. Perez, in the 132, pinned his opponent. Egan won by pin in the 144 while Caleb Holden won by fall in the 150. Rahmani in the 175 and Cipolletta in the 106 won by falls. Both teams won two forfeits each.

Pinkerton and Windham scores were not available.

Girls Battle At Timberlane Tourney

The 2026 Timberlane Girls Tournament was held on Saturday in Plaistow.

Girls from Goffstown, Manchester Memorial, Mascoma Valley Regional, Plymouth Regional, Souhegan, and Lowell, Massachusetts. Highlights included Emily Ziriak of Souhegan in the 120, winning two bouts and losing one, while Ava Burbee of Souhegan in the 138 also winning two bouts and losing one.

Other school scores were not available at the time of publication.

Merrimack Beats Mascenic, 53-23 In Lebanon

Wrestlers from Kearsarge Regional, Mascenic, and Merrimack all competed in Lebanon at a quad on Saturday.

Merrimack beat Mascenic, 53-23, while Mascenic wrestlers beat Kearsarge, 42-29, and beat Lebanon, 60-24.

Winning wrestlers for Merrimack included Caleb Grandmaison in the 132 by tech fall, 17-0, Seamus Hickey in the 138 by pin, Landon Shultz by fall in the 144, Cash Torres in the 157 by fall, Nicolin Stevens in the 175 by pin, Aiden Kennedy in the 175 by fall, Joseph Elnar in the 215 by fall, and Cooper Seltsam-Wilps in the 285 by pin. Mascenic won two forfeits, while Merrimack had one forfeit, and there was one double forfeit.

Souhegan Beats Plymouth, 53-18

The Sabers beat the Bobcats during Concord’s Super Quad 3.

In the 106, Kyle Sukcharoenphon of Souhegan in the 106 won by major decision, 17-8. In the 113, Mason Morisson of Plymouth won by fall. Kaler won by tech fall in the 132, 16-1, while Carson won by decision in the 138, 11-8. Knuckles won by tech fall, 20-5, in the 144. Alex Sarde won in the 150, 4-2, while Marcus Stout won by pin in the 157. Casey won the 165 by a 12-11 decision. In the 190, Charles McBrearty for Plymouth won by pin. Four Souhegan wrestlers and a Plymouth wrestler also won by forfeit.

According to a post on the Sabers’ Facebook page, Carson acquired his 100th career varsity win during the quad.

Salem Downs Souhegan, 47-30

Also at Super Quad 3 in Concord, the Blue Devils beat Souhegan.

In the 157, Stout of Souhegan won by fall while Casey won by tech fall, 21-5. In the 175, John Vargas of Salem won by fall, as did Zander Wood of Salem in the 190. Gabe Holt for Souhegan won by fall in the 215. In the 106, Sukcharoenphon of Souhegan won by major decision, 14-4. John Blocksidge in the 120 and Mykel Walters in the 126 won by falls for Salem. Kaler of Souhegan, in the 132, won by fall. Trevor O’Brien of Salem in the 138 won by tech fall, 19-3, while Finnegan Parello of Salem won by fall in the 144. Sarfde of Souhegan won by SV-1 overtime, 13-10, in the 150. Salem also won two bouts by forfeit.

Scores for Bow vs. Salem and Plymouth vs. Salem were not available at the time of publication.

Junior varsity wrestlers from Bow, Concord, Plymouth, Salem, and Souhegan also competed in dozens of matches during the Concord quad.

Other Results

The 2026 Timberlane Invitational was held on Saturday with wrestlers from Alvirne, Bedford, Goffstown, Manchester Central, Manchester Memorial, Plymouth Regional, Salem, Spaulding, and Trinity. Scores were not available at the time of publication.

Exeter and Milford wrestlers also competed with Conant at a quad, but scores were not available.

Wrestlers from Hillsboro, Hopkinton, John Stark Regional, and White Mountains Regional competed at a Prospect Tri-Meet on Saturday, but scores were not available.

Keene also hosted a quad on Saturday between Kingswood Regional, Mascoma Valley Regional, Monadnock Regional, Newport, and Spaulding, Vermont.

ConVal also sent wrestlers to the Commodore Invitational Coed tournament in Vermont, while Pelham wrestlers attended the Tri-State Cup tourney in Massachusetts.

Winnisquam Regional also beat Prospect Mountain Regional, 53-11, on Thursday.
