Major Fuel Tanker Collision Kills Driver, 'Seriously Injures' Passenger In NJ

One person died and another sustained "serious injuries" following a fuel tanker collision that occurred early Sunday, NJ State Police told Patch.

Based on a preliminary investigation, police said a Volvo tractor pulling a fuel tanker trailer was going north when a Jeep SUV struck the back of the trailer.

2 Killed In Early Morning Shooting In Jersey City: Prosecutor

Two people were shot to death early Monday morning in Jersey City, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.

The double fatal shooting occurred on Old Bergen Road, the prosecutors said on social media around 5 a.m. The street is in the city's Greenville section.

A man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Sussex County this weekend, according to police.

On Sunday, around 12:45 a.m., police were called to Route 15 in Sparta on reports of a crash.

Woman Dies After Car Overturns On Garden State Parkway, NJ State Police Say

One person has died following a Garden State Parkway crash early Sunday, NJ State Police told Patch.

At 3:59 a.m. on Sunday, troopers responded to the crash on the Garden State Parkway express roadway south at milepost 108 in Tinton Falls.

Two men were hospitalized this weekend after being shot in Passaic County, authorities say.

On Sunday, around 2:15 a.m., police were called to North Main Street and Haledon Avenue in Paterson on reports of a shooting.

A two-alarm fire on Saturday displaced several families in Newark, according to media reports.

The fire broke out first at 933 South 19th St., and then extended to four other homes and backyards on the block, according to News 12.
