6 Injured, 2 'Critical' After Boat Crash Off Long Beach Island, Reports Say

LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ — Six people were injured, two critically,when a boat crashed in Manahawin Bay on Monday evening, according to reports.

Two people were taken to trauma centers and were in critical condition, the Asbury Park Press reported.

The crash happened off the section of Long Beach Township just north of Beach Haven; first responders met the boat at 63rd Street, according to scanner reports.

Photos published by the Lakewood Scoop showed damage to the front of the bow of the boat, a center console with a cuddy cabin.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Office referred inquiries to New Jersey State Police on Monday night.
