Manahawkin Woman Charged After Ketamine Found During Traffic Stop: Police
Police said a May 8 traffic stop in Manahawkin led to a ketamine possession charge against a 57-year-old woman.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ —A Manahawkin woman was charged with with drug possession after a motor vehicle stop early Friday, May 8, in the area of East Bay Avenue and Parker Street, according to the Stafford Township Police Department.
Police reported that Patrolman Ryan Cahill conducted the stop at about 2:57 a.m. During the encounter, Cahill developed reasonable suspicion that the driver, 57-year-old Kimberly A. Strahle of Center Street in Manahawkin, was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to the department.
Further investigation led to a search of the vehicle, police reported. The search resulted in the discovery of a quantity of ketamine for which Strahle did not possess a valid prescription, according to the department. She was then placed under arrest.

Strahle was charged with one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree offense.
After processing at Stafford Township Police Headquarters, Strahle was released on a complaint summons, according to the department. Police said she is pending a future court appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.
