Master Gardeners Offer Plant Trouble Diagnostics At Stafford Library
Learn to improve your gardening skills with assistance from trained Master Gardeners at the Stafford Library.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library will host "Ask a Rutgers Master Gardener – Diagnostic Clinics" starting in March. These free programs will take place on the second and fourth Monday of each month, from March 9 through Nov. 9. The clinics are scheduled between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Trained Master Gardeners will be available to help identify various issues affecting plants. These experts can diagnose problems such as pests, diseases, fungi, or other plant-related concerns. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos or specimens of insects, plants, shrubs, and trees for identification, diagnosis and recommended solutions.
On March 23, the clinic will coincide with the Master Gardeners’ “Houseplant Hospital” program. During this session, individuals can bring their houseplants for a diagnostic review. If a houseplant has insects, participants should bring a photo of the plant instead of the actual plant to prevent potential spread.
