Popular Barnegat Pizzeria Closes Its Doors
The pizzeria has been in Barnegat since 2003.
BARNEGAT, NJ — A popular local pizzeria has closed its doors.
Marchioni's Pizza & Pasta's last day was March 3, the eatery shared on social media.
"While it is bittersweet to close this chapter of our lives, we do so with immense gratitude, pride and love for the community in which we served for more than two decades," the owners, the Soltis family, said.

The family is retiring, they said.
The good news is that the building will not be empty long.

Renovations have begun and in about two months, new owners will take over.
"While the Marchioni's name will no longer be on the building, we assure you the location will remain a place to make memories for decades to come," the owners said.
Marchioni's has been open since 2003.
"We look forward to our next chapter and thank you all for the years!" Marchioni's said.
