Seal Pup Rescued From Nap In Snowy Jersey Shore Street (VIDEO)

The young seal wandered up a beach path and toured Long Beach Boulevard before settling down for a nap on Middlesex Avenue.

HARVEY CEDARS, NJ — A seal pup was rescued by the Marine Mammal Stranding Center (MMSC) while it was taking a nap in the middle of a Long Beach Island road.

"This little Grey seal wandered up a beach path and took a quick tour of Long Beach Blvd. before settling down for a nap in the middle of Middlesex Ave. in Harvey Cedars," the MMSC said.

The Harvey Cedars Department of Public Works had blocked the roads off as the seal made her journey, MMSC officials said.

The seal was uninjured, but was overall in thin condition, and is now resting at the MMSC.
