Back To School: Bernards Township 2026-27 School Calendar

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Basking Ridge, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Bernards Township Public Schools for the 2026-27 school year.

The first day of school for most students in Basking Ridge is Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

• First Day: Sept. 8
• Sept. 16 - Half Day - In-Service Day
• Yom Kippur: Sept. 21 - Schools Closed
• Oct. 14 - Half Day - In-Service Day
• NJEA Convention: Nov. 5 and 6 - Schools Closed
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25 (Half Day), Nov. 26 and 27 (Closed)
• Winter Break: Dec. 23 (Half Day), Dec. 24 through Jan. 1(Closed)
• MLK: Jan. 18 - Schools Closed
• Jan. 27 - Half Day - In-Service Day
• Mid-Winter Recess: Feb. 15, 16, 17 - Schools Closed
• March 9 - Closed – Eid al-Fitr
• March 10 - Half Day - In-Service Day
• Good Friday: March 26 - Schools Closed
• Spring Break: April 12 through April 16 - Schools Closed
• May 28 - Half Day - In-Service Day
