BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Many Basking Ridge restaurants were afforded outdoor dining privileges when the coronavirus pandemic hit last year, those benefits will be extended through 2022 as the COVID pandemic continues to make an impact.

"My colleagues and I continue to support our business community and we will do all that we can to help them especially with such a difficult time with COVID," said Bernards Township Mayor Janice Fields.

The ordinance allowing special outdoor dining allocations was set to end on Dec. 31, 2021. Bernards Township Mayor and Committee unanimously voted at its July 27 meeting to extend this through Dec. 31, 2022.
