BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The longtime Copper Kettle in Basking Ridge is back with an updated space, menu, and new management.

Manager Liv Descotto said the breakfast and lunch spot at 118 S Finley Road aims to bring joy and fantastic meals to everyone. One of their main mottos is "Coffee, Crepes and Community."

The menu offers a variety of breakfast sandwiches; breakfast platters with bacon, sausage and eggs; pancakes, crepes, french toast, omelettesand an assortment of bakery products delivered fresh daily.

Copper Kettle also participates in Too Good To Go, an app-based program that offers leftover pastries and bread in surprise bags at the end of the day instead of throwing them away.

"We want to be environmentally careful as much as possible,” Descotto said.

She said the program helps reduce food waste while offering another way to serve the community.

"Instead of having to throw it away or anything like that, we get to give it to people," said Descotto.

The eatery also has a lunch menu with salads, sandwiches, and wraps, and Mediterranean options including hummus.

Descotto raved about the Mediterranean salad and Mediterranean omelette.

"It gets people intrigued by something on a menu, and then they're more enticed to come back in and just be excited to try those things," said Descotto. "And every single time a customer comes in, they leave beyond happy. I am not seeing a customer leave without a smile on their face, which makes me even more happy."

Changes inside and outside the restaurant include a redesigned chalkboard, added greenery, new speakers, redone tables and outdoor chairs in different colors.

Descotto said the goal is to make the restaurant feel welcoming for returning customers.

The restaurant also has an outdoor patio that customers enjoy.

The Basking Ridge cafe offers dine-in service, takeout, online ordering, and delivery.

Customers can order directly through the restaurant's website, copperkettle.store, which links to Toast, and the business also uses DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub.

Copper Kettle is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers breakfast and lunch throughout the day.
