Lexi Hansen reached 102 career draw controls as Ridge opened fast and controlled Friday's home win.

Freshman Lexi Hansen added a hat trick as Ridge's offense stayed productive throughout the night.

Hansen also reached a milestone at the draw circle, winning eight draw controls to move past 100 for her career and finish the game with 102.

"Lexi Hansen reaching 100 — and then 102 by game's end — draw controls is a tremendous accomplishment," Head Coach Olivia Harpel said. "Caroline Anderson and Sydney Kiessling contributed important momentum goals to complement a very cohesive offensive day for us."

Anderson and Kiessling each scored once in the win, and Cameron Hansen also scored for Ridge. In goal, Rylan Broadhurst and Romey Gussin split duties and combined for six saves.

Harpel said she was encouraged by how Ridge maintained its level of play from start to finish.

"The team played together to the final whistle. It was great to see them be consistent, and exciting for the program to take another step," she said.

She also pointed to the challenge Scotch Plains-Fanwood presented in the middle of the field.

"Scotch Plains is a talented and well-coached team. They challenged us in the midfield, and we were able to learn from this game," said Harpel.

With the season still unfolding, Harpel said the focus remains on daily improvement.

"This team is eager to learn, and we have a lot of season left. Each day is a new day to learn, grow, and prepare, and we are focused on the moment rather than the games that have already been played," said Harpel.

The night also included a win by Ridge's JV team earlier in the day.

"This game spoke for itself after our JV team pulled off a well-fought win," Harpel said. "I am very proud of this program."

Ridge is scheduled to travel to Somerville High School to face Somerville on Thursday at 4 p.m.
