Nutley Will Hold 9/11 Tribute Ceremony, Townwide Candle Lighting

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley will hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony this week to honor the victims of the September 11^th attacks.

The town’s ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 at the September 11th Monument located in front of Nutley Township Hall.

Residents are invited to join township officials, the families and friends of the victims, clergy members, first responders and community members to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

Nutley will also be remembering three members of the community who lost their lives that day: Robert Cirri, Frank LaLama, and Dorota Kopiscko.

LIGHT A CANDLE

In addition to the morning ceremony, Nutley residents are also invited to join a town-wide tribute of remembrance by placing a lighted candle on their front porch or an electric candle in a window between 8 and 10 p.m. on Sept. 11.
